The Exmoor Trust gave a donation towards the cost of renovating Middleham Gardens in Lynmouth back in 2007.
The garden is a Memorial garden set on the edge of the East Lyn in the place where a hamlet once stood called Middleham. The hamlet was washed away in the flood disaster of 1952 and the garden is a memorial to the people who lost their lives. The gardens are maintained by local volunteers and benefit both the local community and visitors to the area. The Exmoor Trust is also giving a donation towards the cost of the new bridge called Woodside Bridge, which will provide access over the River Lyn to the gardens.
