In 2017 / 2018 The Exmoor Trust gave a donation to Exmoor National Park towards the cost of erecting special barn owl boxes in strategic locations within the park. Conservation is something The Exmoor Trust supports safeguarding the habitat of species within the park for the benefit of future generations.
Ali Hawkins, wildlife conservation office at Exmoor National Park says: “Please keep your eyes open for barn owls during the early months of the year. This much-loved bird has suffered decline in numbers nationally, and any recorded sightings will be invaluable in helping us all to better understand the status of the barn owl in the National Park.
